Area information

The Sultanahmet Suites are located in the historic Sultanahmet district, the centre of old Constantinople. It is a 5-minute walk from Aghia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace and a stroll to the Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar and the Marmara Sea.

The neighbourhood, called Kadirga, has 6 small restaurants and pastry shops, as many grocery shops and greengrocers, and a taxi rank. In short, everything you need to live as a local for a few days is on hand.

There is a bit of street noise, because this is a real neighbourhood. Vehicles pass, kids laugh and play, the Muezzin gives the call to prayer; but it's the normal sounds of city life, not intense. If you want quiet, you can always just shut your double-glazed windows.
