There is a great panorama to the town and to the countryside. The castle use to be the biggest fortress in Slovenia. The castle was partially in ruins but the rebuilding is in a remarkable progress.
Šmartinsko lake is the largest artificial lake in Slovenia. It is located only a few kilometers northern from Celje. There is a place for relaxation - especially for sport fishermen.
