Overview |
A charming small hotel located in the park of Stegeborg’s new castle. The natural surroundings feature oak-clad hills, soothing walks, parks, billowing cornfields, wild boar and the bay of the Baltic all combine to make up this pastoral idyll.
Beautifully situated outside Söderköping and full of chivalric spirit this personal hotel will provide the opportunity for the perfect retreat. The hotel has been rebuilt from an old garden house and decorated in an English countryside theme. The Garden hotel is characterised by a gardening theme suitable for the name Trädgårdshotellet.
By the water, situated on a small island, you will find Stegeborgs old castle which was one of the most important strongholds in Sweden in the middle ages, as well also a royal palace for several kings and queens. Now the castle is a fine memory of what once was.
Adjacent to the old castle is the popular summer inn, Stegeborgs Hamnkrog. Hamnkrogen offers an à la carte menu and has special nights were a spectacular wild boar buffet and shrimp buffet is offered.
The peninsula offers excellent fishing grounds where pike, pike-perch, Baltic herring and even salmon flourish in the tranquil waters.
Close to the hotel is our popular landing strip were you can land your own airplane if you are travelling by air. We also have a marina with a guest harbour when arriving by the water.

Stegeborgs Hamnkrog, the local inn, is open daily until August 31st. During September it is open on weekends and closes for the season on the 28th of September.
