Situated in Stockholm’s Old Town this family owned hotel is housed in a 17th century building and lays claim to the narrowest hotel in Sweden which is part of its definite charm.
Surrounded by the medieval quarter’s narrow cobble stoned lanes and alleys, the Lord Nelson is conveniently situated for amazing walks around Gamla Stan and central Stockholm.
From the moment you check in at the long mahogany desk, to entering your cabin, you will appreciate the personalised Swedish hospitality. The 3 star hotel essentials are in place however guests are made to feel that they are entering somebody’s home.
The fascinating décor has been personally decorated by the owners and includes naval antiques in display cases. The Lord Nelson’s décor is characterised by polished brass and copper, varnished mahogany trim and panelling, solid quality furniture and lovely wooden flooring. Each room is named after a ship and inside each room is a model of that ship recessed into the wall.
The Poop Deck is the rooftop terrace and provides stunning views over the Old Town.
The Lord Nelson does not have its own restaurant however guests are welcome to dine at the nearby sister hotels. The Lady Hamilton is perfect for light fare and the Victory Hotel is suited to refined dining thanks to its Michelin Star rating.
