In the north of the island, the valleys contain native trees of fine growth. These laurisilva forests are designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The mean annual temperature on the coastline can reach more than 20°C in the south. With its mild humidity, the weather of the island is classified as oceanic subtropical.
The hotel itself overlooks the sea, with direct access to the promenade of Porto da Cruz, near the swimming pools of the region. It is also a short drive to the International Airport of Madeira, and the local golf course.
