Located in the upper end of the Central City, we offer you a great point from where you can explore the city by day or night.
As featured in Lonely Planet's 'Best of Auckland', City Lodge was established in August 2005 and offers 100 rooms in total. Step out the door and no matter which direction you take, you will find something exciting to see or do. Whether you are travelling with your soul mate or your mother, our double and twin rooms are comfortable and cosy. All of the rooms at City Lodge have en suite bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, fridges and large opening windows for you to enjoy the view. Office hours are 07:30 to 22:30 and there is a night porter on call after hours. Shared facilities are kitchen, lounge and laundry.

Now you can spend more of your hard earned cash on jumping off of sky scrapers, touring the harbour, catching a show at the many local theatres or just wining and dining at some of the most phenomenal restaurants in Auckland.
City Lodge is modern, centrally located, and every room is room fresh and clean. In addition to the facilities already mentioned, each room contains a wardrobe, desk, and all linen is provided. Now here is the piece de resistance, every single one of our rooms is suited with their own en suite bathroom and each room is private. The days of sharing dorm rooms with other travelers, who invade your space or keep you awake at night, just because you are on a limited budget are over. So in with the new we say!
In having said all that, should you feel the desire to socialize, you can spend an evening in the industrial sized self-catering kitchen/lounge area where you are welcome to show off your exotic cooking skills, surf the internet, or lay back on our comfy couches enjoying a beverage or two chatting with likeminded travelers or a few of our locals.
City Lodge does not offer any meal services, but there is a fully equipped industrial sized kitchen and lounge area in the basement of the building. Dazzle your fellow travelers with your exotic cooking skills or share your travel tales over a glass of wine.
Sharing dorm rooms with strangers to save money is a thing of the past. City Lodge offers a wide range of rooms including single, budget double, double and twin. All linen and towels are provided and every room is serviced daily.
Our check -in time is from 14:00. However, in the busy season, this may be later. Be sure to advise us if you are coming early so we can prioritise rooms, however please note that no time will be guaranteed.

Making your reservation is easy and safe. Fill out your dates of stay below and submit the form. Select a room. Then press the book now button. Subsequently the reservation form appears and you have to confirm your booking. We will then send you an instant confirmation message by email.
Your reservation is absolutely secure. All personal data is encrypted and will be processed in a secure way. We take the privacy of your personal data very serious. Your personal information will only be used to process your booking. We will not charge you any reservation fees for making this booking, nor charge your credit card. You will simply pay for your stay at the hotel. Cancellation is free of charge; provided you adhere to the notification period stated in the hotel cancellation policy.
