All guest rooms have a private bathroom with shower, most rooms also have a bath. We also offer two-store apartments equipped with a kitchenette that are large enough for up to four persons. Whether you come alone or with your family, you will always find accommodation to suit your needs.
Special rooms are available for non-smokers. You are welcome to bring your dog provided you notify the hotel in advance.

There are 27 kilometres of sandy beaches on Ameland, plus an extensive dune area, the nature reserve ‘het Oerd’, and various picturesque villages waiting to be discovered. On foot, by bike or on horseback. Sea, wind and surf will both relax and revitalise you.
But there is more to Ameland: walking across the mud flats, parachuting, sailing, surfing, boat trips to the seal rookeries, fishing trips, etc. In other words, there is more than enough to do for an unforgettable visit in any season. How to reach us:

Coming from Amsterdam:
Drive via Zaandam, Purmerend, Hoorn and Den Oever, crossing the "Afsluitdijk" and then go from Harlin­gen to Leeuwarden. Once you are in Leeuwarden, you follow the signs for Stiens until you see the signs for Holwerd.
Travel time: ca. 1.5 hour.

Coming from Utrecht:
Follow the directions for Hilversum and Muiderberg across the Flevo­polder. Then continue via Emmeloord and the Noordoostpol­der to Joure and from Heerenveen to Leeuwarden. In Leeuwar­den you follow the signs for Stiens until you see the signs for Holwerd.
Travel time: ca. 2 hours.

Coming from Arnhem:
Via Apeldoorn, Heerde towards Zwolle. Then drive on via Staphorst, Meppel, Steenwijk, Wolvega and Heerenveen to Leeuwar­den. In Leeuwar­den, you should follow the signs for Stiens until you see the signs for Holwerd.
Travel time: ca. 2.5 hours.

Once you have reached Holwerd:
Right before you enter Holwerd, you turn to the left in the direction of Ameland, after which you will reach the pier, from which the ferry leaves for the island.
If you wish to leave your car in the parking, you should take the second street on your right. This parking will be open until 30 minutes after the last ferry from Ameland has arrived. The parking fee is EUR 3.80 per day. If you wish to take your car along on the island, you need to make reservations for this at "Rederij Wagenborg", telephone number 0519 – 546111. In this case, you take the first exit on the right on the pier and you drive on until you reach the pay desk for cars. If you do not wish to bring your car along, you should follow the signs with P (Parking) on it.

Once you have reached Ameland:
follow the signs for Ballum/ Hollum. Immediately after you have left the ferry, you turn to the left at the roundabout after 400m in the direction of Hollum. After 1km you turn to the left at the junction. After 9km (you will pass the village of Ballum) you go straight ahead on the roundabout and you will reach the roundabout of Hollum, at which you should turn to the right. Now you will be able to see the Fletcher Hotel Resort A­me­lander Kaap at your right hand side.
