Beautifully located in the middle of pastures and farms, this family hotel has welcomed guests for three generations. Dating from 1928, Droste has grown from a local café to a flourishing hotel with a modern Grand Café, winter garden and stylish restaurant.

The town of Tubbergen is surrounded by nature offering peace and quiet yet with the action of larger cities nearby. With the charming city of Zwolle to the west, Hengelo to the south and the German border nearby, there is no shortage of interesting day trips. The Hellendoorn amusement park is also just 30 km away.

Room information

Two types of hotel rooms available: loft rooms (small, medium or large) and patio rooms.
The loft rooms, all on the second floor of the main building, are cosily situated under the pitched roof of the hotel building. The height of the ceiling gives these rooms their special look. These rooms are characterised by a combination of the special architecture and simplicity. By integrating the bathroom, we created a surprising effect. All loft rooms are equipped with a modern shower and a separate toilet. The large rooms also have a separate bath.

The patio rooms are situated in our new hotel wing and are arranged around a small inner court- the patio. The rooms are designed with modern colours and contemporary materials. They are equipped with modern facilities, a bath and a separate shower cabinet. Depending on the floor, the room has a balcony or terrace. Some are fitted with a whirlpool and/or an open fireplace. These rooms are divided among the ground floor and the first floor. The patio building is directly connected to the main building.

There is no lift available.

By car from the west:
- Coming from the west you can reach Droste's Hotel & Restaurant by taking the motorway A1 along Amersfoort and Apeldoorn
- Follow the A1 in the direction of Deventer/Hengelo till past Hengelo and
take exit 32 Oldenzaal/Ootmarsum/Denekamp
- First follow the signs to Denekamp/Ootmarsum- Then take the direction
Weerselo. Drive from the N342 onto the N343- Via Weerselo drive to Tubbergen
- Leave Tubbergen on the right and keep following the N343
- Go straight on at the traffic lights
- Turn right to Vasse/Uelsen at the first roundabout
- Go straight on at the second roundabout
- After 1 kilometre you find Droste's Hotel & Restaurant on your right
- The distance from the motorway is approximately 25 kilometres

By car from the north:
- Coming from the north you can reach us via Hardenberg
- From Hardenberg follow the N343 in the direction of Tubbergen
- When you have passed the village of Langeveen on your right, turn left at the first roundabout and follow the sign Vasse/Uelsen
- Go straight on at the second roundabout
- After 1 kilometre you find Droste's Hotel & Restaurant on your right

By train:
Droste's Hotel & Restaurant is attainable by train into NS-station Almelo.
From Almelo you can get to Tubbergen by taxi or bus.
