Vista Residence

Opened in 2004, Vista Residence offers fully-equipped, stylish and contemporary apartment-style accommodation in a modern establishment with all the services of a hotel.

The air conditioned apartments provide great accommodation, whether you are visiting the city on business or exploring Mantova and the surrounding region as a tourist. With all the freedom, independence and convenience of an apartment, the Vista Residence is ideal for both long and short stays for singles, couples and families.

The residence is located in a well-equipped shopping area with easy access to Mantova’s surroundings and the city centre, the heart of Virgil’s home town.

Each stylish, modern apartment has a fully-equipped kitchen with a traditional electric cooker, a refrigerator and a microwave.

You can come and go as you please and explore the city at your leisure, thanks to the residence's magnetic key card entry system.

There is a restaurant facility in the form of the Reef Cafè, which is situated near the residence. The cafe provides a comfortable venue for enjoying breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Mantova is also full of traditional hosterias and trattorias where you can enjoy the local cuisine. The city centre often hosts wine and food shows to let people taste the typical flavours of the province of Mantova.

Vista Residence has 24 apartments, including 13 one-room studio apartments and 11 two-room apartments, including 4 attic apartments situated on the residence’s upper floor.

All of the apartments are decorated in a stylish and contemporary manner and are fully-equipped with all modern comforts and facilities, including an internet connection point. Each apartment boasts a fully-equipped kitchen area with a traditional electric cooker. Cutlery, kitchenware, dishes, tablecloths and dishcloths are all included. Bed linen and bath linen (including hand and bath towels) are included. Apartments are cleaned daily and bath and bed linen is changed twice a week (daily linen changes are available on request).

Art, good food, cultural events, and beautiful landscapes: there are plenty of reasons to visit Mantova and all of its attractions, whatever the time of year.

Various historic and artistic tours start from Piazza Sordello, which is easy to reach from the residence by car, by bicycle or by public transport. Explore the city’s history with a visit to the Ducal Palace, the Bonacolsi Palace, the Magna Domus, the beautiful Erbe and Broletto Piazzas, the Palazzo della Ragione, the Basilica of Sant Andrea, the Rotonda of San Lorenzo and the stunning Bibiena theatre. Within walking distance of the city centre, there is also Palazzo Te, which is well worth a visit. You could also visit the house of Giulio Romano, Andrea Mantegna’s house, the Church of San Sebastiano and the City Museum. Near the city centre, you can also find Palazzo D’Arco, the Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art, the museum of Tazio Nuvolari, Learco Guerra and many other palaces, houses and places of historic and artistic interest. Many of these ancient palaces and monuments (and in particular Palazzo Te) regularly host prestigious art collections of national and international interest.

By Air:
The apartments are approximately 35 km from Verona Airport (also known as Valerio Catullo Villafranca International Airport). Taxis are readily available from just outside the airport. Alternatively, there is a regular bus service from the airport to Verona’s train station (Verona-Porta Nuova). From the train station, you can take a train to Mantova.

It is also easy to reach Mantova from Brescia/Montichiari Airport (35 km), Parma Airport (58 km) and Bergamo’s Orio al Serio International Airport (130 km).

By Train:
Vista Residence is just a short distance from Mantova’s train station and taxis are readily available from just in front of the station.
