The hotel is located near theatres, bars, restaurants and within walking distance of the famous tourist attractions of Pisa. Devotedly managed by the same family for years, Hotel Francesco is a small business with an emphasis on a warm, personalised approach to service, offering an unforgettable experience of Pisa.

Staff will help you arrange tours of Pisa, be it your own independent tours of the city or recommended guided tours. They can also assist you in choosing the best restaurants in town.

To best enjoy the area, you can rent bicycles and scooters. If you come from the train station or the airport, a pick-up shuttle can be arranged.

Food & beverage

The hotel does not serve breakfast. On the premises there is a restaurant called Re Artù which is open for lunch and dinner and closed closed on Sunday. This offers specialities from Tuscany, as well as seafood and a large choice of Chianti and Italian wines.

Travel information

By car:
- Exit from Autostrada at Migliarino, Pisa Nord.
- From here, follow signs for the "Leaning Tower of Pisa".
- Once you are next to the tower you will see the signs for Hotel Francesco.

The hotel is located just 100 metres from the leaning tower, in Via Santa Maria. This is a long street that goes from the the tower to the river, the hotel is near the tower, about one block away.

The hotel is located in a restricted area, and surrounded by many one-way streets, therefore do not forget to ask the hotel for the permit for driving and parking.

By bus:
Take the (Red)-LAM bus. Stop at the famous Piazza dei Miracoli (Leaning Tower), just cross the square and you will find the hotel 100 metres from the leaning tower.

Or you can also take bus number 4 (from the station), it stops 50 metres from the hotel (the stop is called Santa Maria).

By shuttle:
The hotel offers a shuttle for no more than 8 people, available upon request.

2 persons: 10 euros per person
3 persons: 7 euros per person
4 - 8 persons: 5 euros per person
minimum per trip is 20 euros, that means that if you should be only one person, the cost would be 20 euros.
If you want to book the shuttle service, please send us all flight details (number of people, day and time of arrival, flight number).

Important information

The hotel does not accept American Express credit cards. If you use it to make the booking, the hotel will ask you for another credit card and, if one is not provided they will cancel your reservation.

Your credit card will be checked upon arrival, and if not valid, your reservation will be cancelled.

Payment is due upon check-in. After midnight check-in can only be made if you arrange for the hotel's shuttle-service to pick you up from the airport.
