Area information

Torre dei Corsari village is situated on a cape south of Oristano, between the beach resorts of Pistis and Porto Palma, along the Arbus coast. The area is characterised by deserted beaches, wild, unspoiled nature, Mediterranean vegetation and a wonderful, clear sea.

For 5 consecutive years, the area has been awarded the Lega Ambiente 5 Vele (5 Flags): an Italian award given to the 10 most unspoiled and unpolluted natural areas on the Italian coast.

The Dunes of Piscinas are also attracting the interest of more and more people. Kilometres of golden sand form the only Sardinian mini-desert making these the largest dunes in Europe.

Travel information

By Plane:

From Alghero airport:
- Follow the signs to Sassari, until you reach the junction for the SS 131.
- At this point, head in the direction of Cagliari. When you reach the next crossroads, follow the signs for Terralba.
- Once you have reached Terralba, continue onwards for approximately
15 km, following the signs for Tanca Marchesa and then for Marceddi (a small fishing village).
- Cross the bridge, keeping very close to your right as the road is very narrow.
- At the end of the road, turn right, and you will reach San Antonio di Santadi.
- Continue straight on for approximately 6 km, until you reach the entrance of Torre dei Corsari.
- Continue for approximately 1 km in Viale della Torre, and you will see the B&B on the left hand side.

From Olbia airport:

Take directions to Nuoro/Cagliari, go down up to the village of Ghilarza and once you get to the SS 131 follow the same directions as "From Alghero airport".

From Cagliari/Elmas airport:

Follow the directions for Iglesias and then look for sign SS131 towards Oristano/Sassari, drive up for about 70 km and get in lane for Terralba Junction, you can follow the same directions as "from Alghero airport".

A little guidance tip for those people travelling by automobile, please ensure your tank is full before you get to Torre dei Corsari, we do not have a garage facility at moment, though they are garages in local towns like Terralba.
