The Butler Arms is well known for its air of luxury combined with a homely atmosphere. We overlook the Atlantic and are surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in Ireland.
Th hotel is in the reach of many attractions and activities, yet provides trhe prefect hideaway. The Fisherman's Restaurant offers a varied menu, specialising in seafood and has an excellent wine list. The Butler Arms was one of Charlie Chaplin's favourite holiday destinations, and the pictures on the wall in the Chaplin lounge recall the happy visits by the Chaplin family. Our rooms, which include 12 recently-built luxury suites, are impeccably furnished to be your comfortable home from home. The hotel is open from April to October.

Winner of many awards for excellent cuisine, this restaurant offers a varied menu, specialising in a variety of fresh seafood and local meats. Meals are complemented by an excellent wine list. All of the seafood on our menu is caught daily by local fishermen in the bountiful waters of the unpolluted South-West coast.

Waterville (An Coire Án), "The Little Whirlpool", is the premier coastal golfing and tourism centre on the Ring of Kerry. It continues to attract many famous celebrities and throughout the years these have included Charlie Chaplin and his family and more recently Tiger Woods, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones. Waterville nestles between Lough Currane and Balinskelligs Bay. You will find mountains and lake land with the added advantage of the sea on your doorstep. Add a sophisticated but uncommercialised tourist product, managed by friendly, experienced people and you have the ideal holiday retreat and base for playing some of Ireland's great golf courses.
