This family-run public house was built over 150 years ago as a coaching inn, and is situated in the picturesque Wylye Valley, just 10 minutes’ drive from Salisbury.
Since it was built it has been a watering and feeding stop for people traveling between Bath and Salisbury. Our rooms offer en suite facilities and we have a traditional beamed bar, separate restaurant, skittle alley and riverside garden where it is free for residents to fish. Stonehenge is nearby.

We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wiltshire is famous for its farming and food, and we endeavour to source all our food locally, to ensure quality and to support the local community. Food is cooked fresh to order on the premises, which you can enjoy in our traditional bar or restaurant area. In addition we offer a selection of local real ales, a wide range of soft drinks, spirits and bottled beers.

Please note that the bar will be closed between 13 April and 28 April inclusive and lunch and evening meals will not be available during this period.
