This unique and contemporary guest house rests in a quiet cul-de-sac in the heart of York, comprising 2 Victorian town houses, sensitively modernised to provide a high standard bed and breakfast experience.

We accommodate most special dietary requirements on our breakfast menus, but please be sure to notify the hotel in advance where possible of any special needs.

We have 2 ground floor rooms, one twin en suite and one double en suite room, which can accommodate those not wishing or able to climb many stairs. Please be sure to notify the hotel of your requirements in advance and we will try to accommodate them as best we can.

It is now illegal to smoke in the hotel and offenders will face stiff penalties. The hotel has always been a non-smoking establishment with strictly no smoking allowed in any of the rooms or common areas of the hotel. We can accommodate smoking in our private, rear outdoor garden/patio area but please ask staff on arrival to access this facility.

Area information

Within 10 minutes easy walking distance of York's world famous city centre attractions, train station and Knavesmire racecourse, Linden Lodge is ideally placed for most travellers, holiday makers and shoppers. The hotel is also ideally located for business travellers using the city for meetings or for commuters using the A64 to Leeds or Hull. The A19 and York University is within easy reach either by car or the number 4 bus which stops at the end of Scarcroft Road, or for those attending events and activities on foot at the National Railway Museum or Minster.

York's famous Micklegate, home to many lively city centre restaurants and bars, is the closest gate or entry point to the city wall and just a short 10 minute walk along Blossom Street from the hotel. Whatever the occasion, Linden Lodge is well placed to take full advantage of the location.
