For those who like walking, there are the sandy beaches together with beautiful Cornish cliff walks to explore. Newquay is also famous for its extensive water-sports, in particular the surfing facilities. And, for those who want to venture further afield, the hotel is conveniently close to the railway station and bus station.

In the evenings, following a long day of exploring, you can return to the comfort of the hotel and relax with a drink whilst admiring the splendid sea views from the lounge.

The Cliffdene is a long established family hotel concentrating on giving comfort, good food, a friendly service and value for money.

Entertainment is provided at least 5 nights each week. This can be a disco or ballroom dancing or live entertainment or bingo - all taking place in the colourful ballroom and accompanied by a well-stocked bar...

The spacious dining room, with its panoramic views over the Newquay bays, provides the perfect setting to enjoy the best home cooking.

Breakfast is served between 08:15 and 09:00. Dinner is served at 18:45 (please book dinner at reception before 17:00, and last entry to the dining room is at 19:15).

These comfortable en suite rooms include modern facilities and spectacular sea views overlooking Tolcarne beach. Some also have a balcony (supplement per night, per room for a sea view room when available).

There is a direct communication from every room to reception.

The hotel faces directly out to sea with panoramic views (the sunsets have to be seen to be believed!) and it's only minutes’ walking distance to the golden sandy beaches, sun and surf!

Nearby you can find shops, an amusement park, local indoor swimming pool, zoo, boating lake and Trenance Gardens. Furthermore, Newquay lays on a wide variety of events each year to appeal to all visitors, young and old; the annual carnival goes right past the hotel!

Further afield you can find the Eden Project, countless fishing villages and beautiful walks along the wild North Coast. Rick Stein's Padstow is just up the coast, while the busy commercial centre, Truro, is but a bus ride away.
