Built in a traditional house from the XVIII th century, in our hostal you can enjoy the taste of history in a privileged enclave. Only a few steps away from our main historical monuments, a short walk separates the hostal from the white sand of our endless beaches and one of our most spectacular landscapes: the Straits where you can see the coast of Africa almost at the reach of your hand.
All this in a carefully restored building where you can enjoy the special sunlight of our South.

Posada Vagamundos occupies an Eighteenth Century building, formerly part of the nearby Church of San Francisco. The building has been restored taking an exquisite care of the details and leaving original elements in ceilings and floors, and incorporating modern technologies to warrant our guests comfort. All rooms are provided with anti-noise glass.

The hotel provides a direct services for tours to Tanger for1, 2 or 3 days. As well as daily excursions for sighting of dolphins, whales and cetaceans that in general, they can be seen in the Straits of Gibraltar where the hotel is found.
There's a nice cafeteria at your disposal with an open terrace in one of our most pintoresque streets. There you can taste our meals, in which traditional recepies melt with international dishes.

All rooms are outside oriented to ensure both our characteristic southern light and nice views to the town, and to the Straits of Gibraltar in our solarium.
Tarifa´s strategic position between two continents has meant that it has been inhabited continually by civilisations since the Palaeolithic Age, with many Roman and Moorish elements still visible today. Natural history is also evident in the area surrounding the hotel, with two protected natural parks in the locality: Parque de los Alcornocales and Parque Litoral del Estrecho. In addition, the expansive beaches of the area are well appreciated by many of Europe´s kitesurfers.
