Area information

The Hotel is situated in the north of the Extremadura region, in the province of Cáceres, just a 5 minute ride from the city centre, train and coach stations.

Caceres is a World Heritage city surrounded by city walls and towers and shows clear examples of its history, from its Arabic fortress to its medieval castle. The city is a fantastic blend of Roman, Islamic, Gothic and Renaissance architecture.

Just some of the attractions are:
Plaza Mayor: A lovely square surrounded by 16th century colonnades and flanked on the east side by an Almohade wall.

Palacio de Godoy: Renaissance-style palace commissioned by Francisco de Godoy in 1548. It has a lovely central courtyard and one of the most beautiful corner balconies in Caceres.

Cathedral of Santa María: A triple-naved Gothic cathedral, built in the 14th century, is situated in the Plaza de Santa Maria. It houses a stunning carved cedar altarpiece, as well as a 14th century statue of a black Christ.
